Vineyards and Winemaking
This single vineyard expression of Marlborough Pinot Noir is grown on the southern
side of the Awatere River, an old riverbed terrace that is sheltered from cooling
mountain breezes. The Seddon vineyard terrace has a silty loam soil contributing the intense perfumed aromatics.
Soils And Viticulture
Spring of 2013 was bountiful, therefore careful attention to yield restrictions were applied to maintain perfectly balanced vineyards. The 2014 summer was warm and dry allowing tannins to fully ripen, all fruit for this wine was harvested in March before the autumn rains.
